Maribor at a Glance

A record of the trace in the morning of 8th May (Thu), 2014 in Maribor City, Slovenija.

Actually it's not our genuine destination to visit this place. Just we have to pass through here to go to our genuine destination: the Plitvicka National Park (16 lakes part) of Croatia. The original plan to drive from
Brno, Czech to Maribor, Slovenija took only close to 4hrs, but we met a heavy rain and traffic jam on Vienna highway section. As a result, we took two more hours to get the night accommodation. We spent a morning here to surf the city, and then go on for our journey to Croatia.

Maribor is the second biggest city of Slovenija, located at the boarder of Slovenija and Austria. Slovenija joined the EU in May, 2004, and started using Euros since 2007. Before 1991, Slovenija was a part of Jugoslavija. As the Czech language, language of Slovenija also belongs to the Slavic language system. So Slovenija people can understand most Czech language, even they cannot speak it.

Take some photos capriciously on the street to remember our stay.
