Rijeka——The Small City up the Adriatic Sea

In the morning of May 10th, 2014, after a simple breakfast, we four continued driving from Zadar for our last destination: Rijeka.

Rijeka is the third biggest city of Croatia, located in the top side of Adriatic Sea. Before the World War II, it was originally a city of Italy, called Fiume. 'Cause of losing the war, the city was ceded to Yugoslavia and named Rijeka. After the disintegration of Yugoslavia, Rijeka became a part of Croatia.

Senj
Senj is a small town we passed on the way to Rijeka. We stopped here to have a break and lunch.

Jadran Hotel
From the room balcony of Jadran Hotel, we can just directly see the ocean is just under our feet. Sometimes it excites us, but when in the midnight, the sea will look terrible.

The huge window between stairs to see the seascape. I love it.

Rijeka
Rijeka is actually a very small town-city. Today our pace is very slow and relaxing. Hope to have a good rest and will back to Brno, Czech tomorrow.
